Scheduled for launch in July at your local Volkswagen dealer, the all-new 2022 VW Taos is a subcompact SUV. It is slightly smaller than its sibling, the 2021 VW Tiguan. True to the Volkswagen tradition, the design of the 2022 Volkswagen Taos is simply gorgeous. With its black rocker panels, chiselled sides, LED headlights that stretch along the hood, stylish 19-inch wheels, and a black mesh grille and front bumper, there's no denying that the 2022 Volkswagen Taos is a star in its own right and will be impossible to miss on the road.
The 2022 VW Taos is available in 3 versions. Here are their manufacturer's suggested retail prices:
The Trendline is the entry-level version of the 2022 VW Taos. It is packed with numerous standard features that allow it to stand out from its competitors, including:

This version of the 2022 Taos for sale at VW Lauzon Boisbriand offers a generous cargo space of 790 liters behind the rear seat. This can be increased to 1,877 liters by folding the rear seat, making it the best cargo volume in its class.
The Comfortline version of the Volkswagen Taos includes the features above, and adds:

In terms of powertrains, all versions of the 2022 Volkswagen Taos are equipped with the same engine as the Jetta: a 1.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive models are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission is used on models with 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The latter is optional on Trendline and Comfortline versions, and standard on the Highline. Here are some of the Highline's specs:

Like every other Volkswagen model, the interior of the Taos is simply amazing. Modern, ergonomic, welcoming: everything about it is impeccable, from the quality of the materials to the exceptional workmanship. The horizontal dashboard is also stylish with unique accents throughout the cabin, not to mention the elegant two-tone design of the seats. An 8-inch touchscreen, standard on the Highline and optional on other models, makes it easier than ever to access the controls.

Unsurprisingly, the Taos is equipped with an impressive array of safety and driver assistance technologies bundled into the IQ.DRIVE system. This safety suite includes numerous standard and optional features depending on the version you choose, including:

The Taos 2022's fuel economy ratings average 8.4L/100km city and 6.6L/100km highway. The manufacturer has made sure that its engine uses a high compression ratio, an improved Miller cycle variant, a variable geometry turbocharger, a map-controlled cooling module that makes the engine warm up faster. In short, all of these technologies work together to give you better fuel economy results, enough to make one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs of 2022. All this for a vehicle that won't cost more than $40,000! Not bad at all!
The Taos is the perfect size for urban driving in Laval, but it's also ideal for trips away from civilization, on the North Shore or elsewhere. Below are the versions and prices of this small SUV with a very promising future.
| Model | Engine | Power | Torque | Powertrain | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trendline | 1.5L 4-cyl. turbo | 158 hp | 184 lb-ft | FWD | $29,639 |
| Comfortline | AWD | $32,839 | |||
| Highline | $39 639 |
