Improved power and energy efficiency
Compared to the previous iteration, the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf can count on improved autonomy and performance, thanks to a bigger battery (35.8 kWh) and a revised electrical motor. Indeed, you can now drive between 200 to 300 kilometers on a single charge depending on the driving mode you selected among the three available (Normal, Eco, or Eco+).
When charging your 2017 e-Golf battery, you can choose between these three options: charge it from a regular electric plug or a an alternative current plug system from your home, or use public fast-charging stations, more and more common in Canada. The last system enables you to charge your battery up to 80% in just thirty minutes!

A practical car with the all the bells and whistles
In electric vehicles, the practical aspects such as cargo capability are often sacrificed in favor of the design and the positioning of the batteries. It’s been the opposite with the e-Golf conception: the battery design and placement in the new e-Golf have been made to avoid any sacrifice on the practical aspects. Therefore, when you leave Montreal for a weekend escape in the Laurentians you can leave without forgetting luggage behind!
To finish, the 2017 e-Golf will be inaugurating the new design characteristics of the Golf line-up, with new LED front and tail lights, and newly designed bumpers. Inside, the latest connectivity and infotainment technologies are present.
